Algebra mathematics

We are learning about square numbers. We used counters to make numbers like 4, 9 and 16. The counters are arranged in rows and make a square shape. See the 9 blue bottle tops - there are 3 along  one side and 3 along the other side. To get the total we say - 3 x 3 equals 9.  Millie
